Rei half dome 2+ vs half dome 4?
Should I get the 4 person just for the extra room? I will use it once with another person for 2 weeks straight(backpacking). Im not sure if I can last that long in such a small space with "this" person. But other then this trip, its only me.

7.1lbs verses 4.7lbs that's 2.5 lbs of critical weight that could be used for some extra food and water.
There is plenty of room for 2 and your gear in the 2+ I would not invest in the bigger tent unless you had a third party join you or had a huge amount of gear to keep dry. Weight is critical if you need more shelter just get a sil tarp to cover the extra gear, some spacious models are as lite as 9.oz's

Buy two ultralights. Separate tents sustain friendships. Two ultralights: 2 pounds each.
