In the regular Naruto series I have a simple question...?
Well, Naruto couldn't graduate initially because he could not do a good enough transformation. However, we find out later that Rock Lee (who is a genin by this point) can not perform genjutsu or taijutsu. How did he graduate? Lee is one of my favorite characters and I love the show regardless, but this just made me curious. Thanks in advance for the answers!
Apologies, I meant Ninjutsu not taijutsu which is obviously his specialty...
So, I am reading a few comments about him excelling in taijutsu in order for him to pass. However, if I recall correctly, he wouldn't have excelled in taijutsu until Gai came along to train him which would be after he was place on a team, which sequentially happens AFTER graduation. Once again, I was just curious and enjoy debate. On a side note, I find myself actually enjoying this chikara series they had going, but am definitely ready for Jan. 17th and the main story to continue.

Didn't they have to be at least average in everything? That wasn't the only thing Naruto couldn't do at the time he was bad at everything else to. I think that test was just a final of many before they scored him.

Because Rock Lee is 1 year older than Naruto and he must have had a different graduation test. or maybe they made an exception for Rock Lee because he was a really talented Taijutsu user.

Because he is super good at Taijutsu. He focused all of his time and energy into Taijutsu.

I believe it's because he excelled so well in other areas, also I'm sure that the instructors knew of Rock Lee's condition, so they made an exception.

i think he made an afterimage with his speed for the clone jutsu and excelled enough in taijutsu to cover everything else. i remember seeing that somewhere.

good question now that i think about it i bet the author didn't think that through but if asked he would probably b.s. and say he's a special case
