No seriously what's the word that describes prejudice against gays?

Homophobic means fear of gays, NOT illegal persecution or prejudice.

"It can be expressed as antipathy, contempt, prejudice, aversion, or hatred, and MAY be based on irrational fear." That doesn't mean it is based on fear. Phobia, usually implies feeling threatend or intimated. Which most people are by things, people or situations they don't understand. Plus homo'ism' as is sexism, racism, or classism just doesn't sound right... xp

No seriously, the answer is 'homophobia'. "Phobia" has always meant "irrational fear AND aversion". Homophobes always play this word game, each time thinking that it will magically come true. This is not the time that will happen.

Bigotry. Homophobia works, in the botanical sense of avoidance rather than fear.
