Do you think it is okay for Obama to spend $20 MILLION for family vacations?
Given all the turmoil we have been going through regarding the "fiscal cliff" and now the raising of the debt ceiling, etc. -- DO you think it is fair to the people for Obama to spend over $20 million so he and Michelle can have a nice little family vacation in Hawaii? I think the money would have gone a LONG way toward providing disaster relief for Sandy victims -- and would have been a far better use of that kind of money.
What does everyone else think?
Adrienne -- the $20 Million comes in because they sure don't fly coach -- they take Air Force 1 at something over $200,000 per mile or some ridiculous amount... they take all the famility plus their retinue.... stay in luxury accommodations... etc., etc., etc., This is ALL done using taxpayers money. They don't pay a dime of their own. Other Presidents have taken vacations... but most of the time they just went to Camp David to get away.

Youre exactly right here and Hell no its not okay especially when Sandy vitims could use it and especially at a time when Obama and all of DC should have stayed in DC and workled on the fiscal cliff, but Obama really doesnt care and is on his way to continue to destroy America

Where did you get $20 million dollars from??? I`m pretty sure tickets for 3 or how many of his family is in the White House is not that much.
Plus, he pays with his own money. If I was president, I would want to get out of the house as well and spend time with my family.

The Presidents vacation did not cost $20 million, and he does pay his and his families expenses when on vacation. Why don't you stop with this nonsense already. I know you probably heard it on fox news but they lie.
By-the-way, I am a Sandy victim and we didn't get any aid yet because of House of Representatives, not the President.

The President spends his own money on vacation. Any of the spending such as protection and Secret Service would be spent wherever he is. What is y our alternative? You want him to stay locked up in the White House and never leave for 8 years?

I think $20Million for the POTUS to vacation is acceptable considering the personel and logistics. The real question should be "How many $20Million vacations are acceptable?"
