I want to get a loan for a car.. Updated question?

I want to get a loan for a car but I only just started my full-time job, and I need a car within a months time or otherwise I won't be able to get to work and incidentally will lose my job.. So basically without a proof of income beforehand I don't think I can get a loan.. Is there anyway I could get one in Australia?

I was and am using my flat mates car but he has found out he has to go away and needs his car and I work ten minutes out of town and there's no public transport

    Get a bycicle, a moped.

    Perhaps a pawnshop will have something.

    Real Story: For what it seemed like 2 years, I saw a kid in a Burger King uniform driving his bycle to work. In the rain, he was well prepared with a raincoat.

    Burger King had to be 5 miles away.

    On a 2 lane road - no bike path. Risking his life.

    Never have I admired any kid so much.

    Wonder where he is today.
