Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen are identical, except for a few Pokemon that can only be caught in their respective versions. If you've ever played Red or Blue, you've pretty much played FR/LG. It's just updated graphics and a new set of 7 small islands. Emerald, of course, is mostly like Ruby and Sapphire with a few differences. The most noticeable of which is the Battle Frontier - by far the most challenging tourneys to date. Others include an expanded Safari Zone and different version exclusives.
