Girls in high school do, as like fantasy guys. It's the same thing as the Beatles in the early 60s. Back then, people thought the Beatles looked like a bunch of queers, because they had long hair. Social critics tend to think their main draw to teenage girls was their obvious good looks, but their feminine qualities made them less threatening. Girls in high school are in a strange spot because while they like boys and get turned on by boys just like how boys feel about girls, it's much more intimidating to them. When they get older, they kind of outgrow that, and they start weeding out guys who are kind of wussy. Guys also tend to adjust. Girls who are like in college or older tend to like very masculine men, even in their fantasies. Girls who used to like johnny depp or that dude in twighlight will start liking so and so who's on the crew team soon enough.

The answer to this is startlingly simple... the truth is..girls like different things.

Many girls I know love the big, strong buff guy who can protect and defend her. Others love the Edward lookalike and even other couldn't give a damn so long as his eyes are a striking blue.

But as a female who like feminine guys...I will try and give you a straight answer.

I'm attracted to a man's face more than his body. So his big buff muscles don't do anything for me. That's about it really, I can't explain my instinctual attractions, they're just there.

Also, in this day and age- i hate to say it- but the protection those big muscles offer are a bit of an illusion. They may feel like steel but they won't stop a bullet and they might belong to a coward.

Those guys you listed aren't really too feminine. I'm a girl who is STRAIGHT, completely. BUT, I like flower boys (boys who look and act and sometimes dress like girls). I don't like the muscley guys at all really. There might be like one or two I like but that's it and they have to have more feminine qualities in their actions and attitudes. I just like the boys who wear make-up, dress sparkly and slim, have long hair, and etc. (no they aren't gay and even if they were I'd still think they were hot). PRIME example of boys who are becoming more popular to younger girls now are artists in Asian countries like South Korea, Japan, and China like the singer from Tokio Hotel, Luhan from EXO, Taemin from SHINee, Kevin from U-Kiss, and Heechul from Super Junior. (Look at their photos like long haired and dressed as girls). That's pretty accurate.

I don't think feminine guys are preferable for most women and frankly, the guys you listed aren't "feminine," they are just young and trendy (not in a good way, but still). Justin Bieber appeals to tweens- they aren't going to go for adult men who look nothing like the 13 yr old guys they go to school with. With my generation, it was boy bands and Leo DiCaprio. Of course, DiCaprio is great now but his fans were annoying in the 90s.

But what is it with this notion that a woman needs a man to defend her? You realize that this is 2013. There isn't a wild west anymore, and it seems like some guys get themselves into plenty of fights by themselves without women to fight over. So I'd prefer to just defend myself. Not physically because I don't get into physical altercations.
