Sensational exaggeration = lie

political action and thus more federal financing = means gaining power and getting our money. That is their end goal, not saving the earth.

Why do they have to lie? Because a lie repeated often enough becomes the truth or so these sick minds think. That may work in the advertising and public relations industry but definitely does not work in true science. they haven't found that out yet. Even though the earth has proven them wrong many times they still cling to their lies. That is all they have.

How do you judge who is lying if you have no qualifications, experience, or training in the science being discussed?

It's like asking if your doctor is lying to you if he tells you you have cancer ... how do you know that unless you consult another doctor. And if 97% of the doctors you visit tell you that you have cancer, why listen to the 3% to form your opinion? The only way that would work is if you decide in advance that you don't have cancer and just listen to the 3% who tell you what you wanted to hear. That's not forming a balanced opinion. And if the 97% of doctors all show you an MRI scan of your tumor then the only way you can now maintain your delusion is to believe the 97% are lying to you, are incompetent and/or have fudged the data and/or are trying to get you to pay the additional costs involved in treatment. That would be a remarkably stupid position to hold since you are, in fact, judging the 97% of doctors despite not being a doctor yourself. And as you try to convince yourself and other people that you don't have cancer, and continue looking for doctors to tell you you don't have cancer, you could have been having chemo instead!

There's a rather bad assumption in your question. Scientists are not " believers", but they base their understanding on observation and reason. Anthropogenic Global warming just happens to be the best explanation of the climate changes that we are experiencing.

The question of whether lies have been told always yields a barren "yes-it-is-no-it-isn't". I prefer:

When the weather turned warm, we are told our wanton industrial prosperity was causing a man-made great flood and drought. Conclusion: they don't like our industrial prosperity and the environment is just a convenient scare tactic.

Simple. YOU are repeating lazy anti-science lies. Hansen agrees with and is supported by nearly every top scientist in the world. Gore is not a scientist, though most leading climate scientists give his film high marks overall. Science does not depend on your stupidity and gullibility.

umm maybe because they aren't lying!!! get your facts straight and look into this stuff yourself, there is plenty of proof and explanations that completely kill all of the opponents... and idk what "lies" you think the "believers" aka realists are saying, but research your facts first before believing whatever faux news tells you.
