Arctic ice extent up in area and volume, all over for global warming?

Often touted as an indication of a warming world, is the recovery of arctic sea ice extent, allied to the growth of Antarctic ace proof that the global warming theory is now finished, dead, defunct?

Visiting my son in the USA I looked into the oven in his rented apartment, only to see elements at the very bottom of the oven glowing red hot.

World is warming, the science is settled, we are told. How did 2013 do in terms of being a record warmer year. Yes I know there's over one month to go, but is it one of the warmest ever as the others were in 2000s?

No schoolchild has seen global warming, statement that says it all really?

Not mine originally, but what a bold unequivocal statement regarding the belief being foisted on our children.

Just think, the statement is:

A. True

B. Hard-hitting

C. Irrefutable

Has everything a slogan needs, let's see it used more often and consign this global warming nonsense to where it belongs, the dustbin of history.

Global warming, why is heat produced by man never mentioned?

Effects of Sun , CO2 etc. are always mentioned, but surely the sheer number of I/c engines, heating appliances, a/c systems and all heat outputs by man must add up to a colossal amount, why is it never taken into account?

Rechargeable batteries, why do they seem to have an aversion to smoke detectors?

I have ten smoke detectors fitted, each "stand-alone" i.e. not connected to the mains or each other.

Thinking I'd save money and the environment, I bought a rechargeable battery every time one of the ordinary non-rechargeable batteries ran down as replacements.

All went well until the rechargeable ones started to run down, causing alarms to beep as a low battery warning, this after about 9 months in the detector.

I recharged the batteries according to the instructions and measured 9.5 volts across the terminals. Replaced the batteries, within 48 to 72 hours off they went again. I can still measure the 9.5 across them.

This has now happened 3 times, the rechargeable batteries, if tried in different appliances, work fine.

At wits end, any clever people out there with any ideas??

Is there a printer, commercial or otherwise, whereby charcoal prints can be made from photographs so the prints look like they have been done by hand?

If so, are they readily available?
