Proof at last lies have been passed off as the truth?

Proof at last lies have been passed off as the truth?

"Models frequently fall short of reliable. They are not fact, instead, no more than a prediction"

.

This from a fervent warmie, I read it as an admission that we have been fed rubbish for years to frighten us, what say you?

Trillions of dollars are spent on what the models say.

I have seen lots of research papers that are based on climate predictions instead of real world temperatures.

If climate models are not accurate what does climate science have ZERO ZILCH NADA

If you were quoted model output by the IPCC then it will not even be a prediction but a projection. The IPCC do not do predictions - well not since they all started coming out wrong.

A prediction is: Tomorrow, the alarm will go off at 6:00 am and I will get up and go to work.

A projection is: Tomorrow, notification of my lottery win will arrive and I will spend the day on the internet choosing which island to buy.

Perhaps someone should tell the US administration as well because they seem to have been taken in. The EPA is taking action because: "Climate models are reliable for policy analysis. All these models forecast significant future warming."

If an economist incorrectly predicts the short-term performance of the stock market, does that make the Dow Jones Industrial Average a lie? Does that mean it's not true that, overall, the stock market tends to go up over long periods of time?

Models are, in essence, educated guesses about what the climate will do, based on the general principles we are aware of about how various forcings and feedbacks--atmospheric CO2, solar input, albedo, atmospheric water, and so on--will alter and/or react to changes in environment. There are likely to always be factors that we either don't understand, or aren't aware of yet, that will keep our models from being a perfect reflection of reality. But our models are getting better and better.

You can "read" whatever you like Flossie, but as you've demonstrated amply in the past, that does not make your interpretation anywhere close to being true.

Wow. You need to take a fifth grade science class.

That statement is the truth which I might say I rarely see in the links you provide.

Yes, I will imagine that you did it read it that way. I suggest you try a course on reading comprehension. Models do not show absolutes and they never have been claimed to be absolutes. List one modeler that has ever stated otherwise. Models also underestimate as well over estimate in their model runs..

If reading comprehension is above your pay grade then make an attempt at studying modeling. And no, I do not mean modeling for Victoria Secrets!

Way to go, Sagebrush. When the topic concerns science you wish to direct others away from the science. Why? Your arguing points are not supported by the science and so you try to steer everyone away from the science.

Gringo says to read the IPCC report. Ha! Ha! we were trying to get away from rubbish, now he wants us to flee right back into it.

The weak always try to trivialize their errors. We have known this for years. Now even they are saying these things. Ha! Ha! If they only understood what they wrote.

Flunky:<If an economist incorrectly predicts the short-term performance of the stock market, does that make the Dow Jones Industrial Average a lie? > No the econmist is just mistaken. However, if that fellow was deceiving people to buy stocks for his own gain, he would be a liar. These people admitted that they gave us horrible information.

Frank: Wow! you need to answer the question. Are you in this for the two points? Your lack of the comprehension of English is astounding.

Couldn't agree more. Global warming is a hoax. Fourty years ago they were screaming global cooling. It fluctuates! How hard is that?! This is the first time though, people like Al Gore are able to make big money off it.

<<... I read it as an admission that we have been fed rubbish for years to frighten us, what say you? >>

That largely depends on where you've been getting your 'news' from over all these years.

You remind me of those Japanese soldiers who went into hiding from the enemy on some remote island and have lived there all these years in complete isolation, totally unaware that WWII ended long ago. It sure must suck to find out they've spend decades living and hiding in fear for nothing.

Your case is much worse of course because you live comfortably in the First World with all its luxuries and direct access to a vast amount of information yet you still choose to ignore the experts and instead give credibility to those who are not (and who, like yourself, have a tendency to make up/believe in wild conspiracy theories).

Why don't you go read earlier IPCC reports and check what they said about ie. climate models and then compare that to what your favorite tabloid said about it? You might be in for a big surprise.
