Yes, anything that uses power affects gas mileage, but not that much. The heater directs heat that would normally be lost to the outside to the inside, but to run the fan requires just a wee bit of energy. The A/C also uses the fan, and adds the energy loss to run the compressor. However, I remember that the A/C wastes less energy than driving with the windows down. (windows up results in less aerodynamics)

If it does, it's not much to worry about. Besides, most newer vehicles have the AC compressor turning periodically while the vehicle is running, to keep it "in shape". I can't tell you how many times I've been in other forums and goons want to disconnect it for the winter as if to out-engineer the engineers then they figure out that their windows stay foggy since...

The defroster uses it no matter what temp you use it at, too.

You may as well enjoy it.

If it does, it is not lots to agonize approximately. as nicely, maximum greater cutting-edge automobiles have the AC compressor turning periodically together as the motor vehicle is working, to maintain it "in shape". i won't be able to inform you the way many cases i've got been in different boards and goons choose for to disconnect it for the wintry climate as though to out-engineer the engineers then they decide that their residing house windows stay foggy in view that... The defroster makes use of it no count what temp you employ it at, too. you will possibly be able to besides savour it.

Yes it does, just the same way as automatic transmissions and under inflated tyres, they all require more power.

Yes, but not enough to make a difference.
