Where could I get a degree in Interactive Media if I plan to stay in Northwest Ohio?

My dream career is to be a video game designer but that is a very competitive field so I'm looking toward interactive media where I would be able to gain the skills I need and have a little bit of give this way or that while doing what I love. I get good grades and am a inspired, enthusiastic young individual. My junior year is half way through and I haven't done any college visits yet. I would love to know of any colleges that offer degrees in Interactive Media in the North-Western portion of Ohio. Any help is appreciated. I'm looking into Ohio University (not OSU) Franklin University and a few others. Those two are about as far south and east as I want to go (They are in Columbus) I know it's sort of a weird, out there question considering many people do not, in fact, live in Ohio. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would also like to make it absolutely clear that, yes, there are lovely colleges outside of Ohio but I really need to stay in Ohio (scholarship reasons)

Thanks so much!

Skip Franklin, it's useless. Spend your money at a college with better accreditation. Try these:

    Ohio University Athens, OH

Cleveland Institute of Art Cleveland, OH

Kent State University-Tuscarawas Campus New Philadelphia, OH

Miami University- Armstrong Institute for Interactive Media Studies Oxford, OH

    Shawnee State University Portsmouth, OH

Also: Edison Community College Piqua, OH Degree (Associate's Degree)

By the way, I'm not looking up where these are in Ohio - you can do that.

If you're set on the northwest, I'm not sure what your best option is. However there is Kent State in the Northeast, a good journalism program, especially for those interested in broadcast TV, and a good graphic design program.

I go to Ohio University in southeast Ohio. OU has one of the best journalism programs in the country, and its School of Media Arts and Studies is consistently ranked as a top media school in the country. The network of alumni is incredible and Bobcats always seem to want to help other Bobcats.

I work closely with interactive media and graphic design students who put out high quality work in class and with the seemingly infinite number of student-run media outlets. These organizations are always looking for help with graphic design, video and audio production, and online interactive media.

Take a look at the website http://mediaschool.ohio.edu/ and see for yourself.

Good luck in your college search!
