Yahoo Answers is shutting down on May 4th, 2021 (Eastern Time) and beginning April 20th, 2021 (Eastern Time) the Yahoo Answers website will be in read-only mode. There will be no changes to other Yahoo properties or services, or your Yahoo account. You can find more information about the Yahoo Answers shutdown and how to download your data on this help page.

I can't forward, reply or compose on my Yahoo Email?

The bar icon will populate in the 'to' and 'subject', but will not go to the message area. I can use the keys to try to type in all three areas, and nothing shows up.

It's not the keyboard, as I can post OK to Y!A, and to Comments on the Homepage links

Any ideas????

I switched back to Classic. 1st You have to log out of Yahoo mail. Disable the JavaScript as below. Log back in and choose the Classic email option. I verified that everything works and you can compose and send an email. I checked the Java Script enabled and it was already checked off.

Leave it in classic till they fix the problem. It may take several days.

How to return to Yahoo! Mail Classic:

In Firefox go to Tools and open Options.

Under the Content tab uncheck “Enable JavaScript”.

Open Yahoo mail URL and login using your id and password.

A notice will appear saying that JavaScript is needed to be enabled for using the new Yahoo! Mail. There you’ll see two options to return to a previous version of Yahoo! Mail. Choose the first option to switch just for one time or second option to return to a previous version.

Now you are back to the classic version.

In order to access all web sites properly, don’t forget to Enable JavaScript from the Content tab under Options in Firefox.
