Christians where do you do your best witnessing?

I have had four heart attacks and lost 70% of my blood due to internal bleeding from a lacerated spleen, as a result I have spent a fair bit of time in intensive care wards. I have found that it is at these times that I have a profitable time witnessing to others regarding where they stand before a holy, righteous God.

How about you, where do you have a profitable time witnessing, is it at the hairdressers, fishing, long bus journey? I think for me it is because I know I will have a certain amount of time with that person. How about you I'm sure many would like to hear of these times.

    Well Carl,

i find that the area of our lives in which we can do the MOST witnessing is by being the salt of the earth. By being set apart and in this world but not of it. people tend notice the small things more than you may expect. however, where i love to evangelize are in malls or my very favorite is to show the love of God to those who tend not to see love at all, the homeless.

Like you, I have major health problems that keep me mainly at home. I may go two weeks without seeing anyone. Mainly I go out for doctor's appointments. That is when I see a few people and pick up food and other supplies.

During such times I can't carry a Bible, but I do have one on my 10" Thrive tablet. Along with other publications and I try to carry a few tracts with me. So when I do get to talk to someone, I can leave a tract with them having a good bit of information for such a small size.

I am limited to stores with electric shopping carts for transport. There are only two places in my area.

Otherwise, I answer questions here. By trying to write in an interesting way, people do read those answers. They are well researched answers, keeping the Bible as the Source Authority in all matters.

Some are called to be evangelists and I think you may be one of them, Carl. What I have found is that if you are known by others to be a Christian, you will come under close scrutiny whatever you do and it is often when you are least aware of it that you are witnessing to the Lord. There are times when you will be called upon to adopt the direct approach which you describe, but you must be sensitive to the Lord's leading, as sometimes it can be off-putting to others when they are not ready for it. Unless, that is, you do have the gift of evangelism.

What a blessing that you have survived such health crises! It is commendable that you are also aware of the responsibility of all Christians to give a witness. (Matthew 28:19,20)

To answer your question though, although I witness at every opportunity, I have found door to door ministry to be very efficient. (Acts 20:20) Although the majority of people I contact are uninterested or ambivalent, it is so rewarding when I contact someone who has been searching for the truth and help them come to an understanding of essential Bible truths! I am overjoyed and humbled when that person then dedicates herself to God and gets baptized. She joins me and millions of other faithful Witnesses as God’s "fellow workers" (1 Corinthians 3:9)

That's great that you witness well in the hospital. I have heard of testimonies of that sort. I guess my best witness might be to my children, not sure except they might see me as dysfunctional too since I have so many problems.

I don't believe in "witnessing" I think it's pushy and disrespectful. I am a Roman Catholic and I believe in living by example.

I am confused - why would you go to a doctor for your four heart attacks and lacerated spleen?

Why not pray to be healed?

Do you have no faith in your God, your faith, your prayer?

And then, after you completely lack faith in your God, your faith, your prayer, you attempt to tell others to have faith in your God, your faith, your prayer?

How can you NOT see how hypocritical this is?
