Portable phone charger question.?
I have a droid motorola x2 and the battery life on the device I believe is starting to go out. Ive had the phone for over a year/the battery is old/probably on its "last legs". Anyway, ive read online you can buy portable phone chargers that don't require outlets, which would be convinent for me since im currently a college student and it is difficult to find an available outlet sometimes. Ive found one on Amazon, that id buy as anew unit, would this be a fitting choice to solve my issue? -http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-98782-P790-Portable... MAIN ISSUE - I need a charger that is portable and doesnt require an outlet that is compatible with my droid x2. If this isnt a good charger what are some portable ones that are? PS - I do not want to go out and buy a new battery for my phone,

Your main issue is your battery, so to solve you issue, you'll need a new battery. I think its that simple. You can try and getting a battery that has higher capacity (higher mah rating) that would last longer.
Portable phone chargers are just higher capacity rechargeable batteries. And guess what, the Motorola P790 still need a wall outlet to get charged. Yes they are good to have when you know you don't have any power source around for sometime. But it would be best to have them and have a good battery on your phone to begin with.
There are other portable chargers that use standard AAA or AA batteries. This is probably what you were looking for.

The best one out there would be energizer portable battery it can charge your phone and power laptop and that's what I'm using and full juice goes for 8-10 days of charging my phone
