I live in Chicago and I want to get married to my fiance who lives in Kansas, what do I need?

What kind of documentation do I need? My fiance says that since I am Mexican and a U.S. citizen, I only have the original copy of my baptismal certificate, she says it needs to be translated? Can someone help? Thanks for the help in advance.

Update:

I DON'T have a copy of my birth certificate. ALL I DO have is an original of my baptismal certificate which DOES have my birth name and birth date and where I was born.

It depends on where you want to get married.

Illinois requires two forms of identification, and at least one needs to have your photo on it such as a drivers license and a passport. You can also use a photo id along with either a birth certificate, a resident alien card, U.S. naturalization papers, a life insurance policy, or a baptismal record. You can call the county clerk in the county you will get married in for a complete list of available documents.

Kansas requires one form of ID such as certified birth certificate, drivers license, social security card, or passport. A baptismal record is not acceptable identification in Kansas.

    Edit:

AD response: Do you have any additional identification? You will need a photo ID in Illinois in addition to your baptismal record.
