Spiritual, but not religious?

Yes or No. I personally don't believe in a god, but I am a spiritual person. What about you? Opinions?

Update:

I'm not a pothead. I believe in Karma, the idea that every action has a punishment/reward. I believe that, in order to have peace in your life, you have to focus on your mind and body, through meditation, and deep contemplation. I also believe that we are one with Nature.

Update 2:

What was the name of the book you read?

I was that was for a long time after I left Christianity. I couldn't ever quite bring myself around to being a full "gnostic" atheist. Even if you were to prove to me that every human religion is totally fake and flawed I'd still consider myself a "spiritual" person... because I feel like there's something missing that I don't understand yet.

I was readings a book today, that said if we lived in a utopia then there'd be no need for religion. It's when we see a huge difference between our ideal world, and the world as it is that we seek spiritual truth. "in the ever changing world of reality, people are never completely satisfied, few are happy all of the time, and many are often miserable. The higher a person's ideals, the more painfully he or she realizes how far the world is from perfection. Serious consideration of the human condition creates dissatisfaction with reality; and when science, economics, and other secular disciplines and systems prove unable to eliminate this malaise, then people turn to religious faith."

Just my two cents... not all religion is dogma that gets in the way of spiritual seeking. This is just my personal opinion though. ;)

I personally believe in an afterlife and this life is meant as a learning experience to teach us moral lessons. I think that our spirits are also in a learning phase and there are different levels of morality, until you reach a point which you reunite with wherever we originally came from. Maybe THAT is god. But we DO share a knowledge that we DON'T really know WHAT is going on. And for that, I respect and thank you.

I'm definitely spiritual, and I believe more in a cosmological God.

I'm trying to determine for myself if he/it had anything to do with us.
