Is it time to get a new laptop?

Question

I had this Dell laptop since 2008 and its still working, sometimes. It does not work (it shuts down/turns off) if I unplug the battery charger. -.- and it shuts off randomly which I have to turn back on again.

The way you turn it on is you have to plug in the charger, other wise it will not turn on. The battery limit is low, but I bet it is 100% every time I turn it on and still even though it really says 0% (plugged in, not charging) and it has a red bar. The insides of the laptop are coming out. But the QWERTY, numbers and all the other buttons seems to working fine.

Any suggestions? Wait till its really broken and then buy or ?

Get new battery, then consider getting new laptop

Well, it sounds like you need a new battery. Though, if the insides of your computer are coming out, and you can't fix it, see if somebody else can fix it. If not, then it wouldn't be a bad idea to consider a new laptop.

well once the insides start coming out,its bad news in several ways., you risk shock for one. i would buy a new laptop,the costs of repair will be high and the chances of the repairs only being temporary fixes are extremely high. contact me at jdbj32m@yahoo.com and i can help you find a laptop that fits your needs.

Insides are coming out? If it is just the keys, Keyboards are cheap and easy to replace, also a new battery is not that expensive. I replace keyboards and laptop screens. Utube for video how to replace keyboard. Amazon for replacement.

Buy a new one. I had a laptop and we constantly had to get it repaired and it was costing to much so we just bought a better and bigger one.
