Why am I always so tired?

I'm 17 years old and I'm always so tired. I go to school, come home and do normal things but then fall asleep when I sit down or get comfortable. I go to bed about 2200 and wake up at 0645.

I drink mostly fizzy drinks but I also have orange juice or tea with sugar. I eat fatty foods as snacks but also eat healthy foods such as meat and fish.

I thought I may have diabetes but I have only have of the symptons: BEING TIRED A LOT

Why am I so tired all of the time? My mum said when she was around my age, she slept a lot of the time also. Is it just an age thing, will it pass?

Also last night, a Friday night, I slept from 1900 - 2300, woke up and had a drink, and then fell back asleep at 2330 and then woke up at 0700! I believe I get enough sleep, sometimes 10-12 hours on weekends, so why am I so tired?

Any advice?

@Jenni - I go to bed about 10 o clock at night, wake at quarter to 7 in the morning

Last night, I slept from 7 o clock at night until 11 o clock at night, fell back asleep at half 11, and woke up at 7 o clock in the morning.

Simple enough for you?

    Exercise 3 times a week helps build your engery level, were you do not sleep as much, be active or getting out and doing something, might be hard, your get use to it, be social and making friends, make sure it is not depression, deppresion makes you want to sleep alot.

    I cant read those times but it sounds like your body just needs more rest, if you are an athlete then it is for sure you need more rest
