Why are there still middle class Obama supporters that say their taxes haven't gone up?

Unless there is some big surprise at the end of this year (2013), my withholdings have increased by nearly $40 per week this year so far, without my wages or W4 status changing.

Because they are idiots. Payroll taxes AND income taxes have gone up on the middle class. Most won't feel the pinch until they do their tax forms and have to pay back to the government.

And they should go up more. Don't think Obama doesn't know it.

In a report just released by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) the top 20% of tax payers in the United States are now paying 94% of the "total tax collected", up from 86% in 2007 and 81% in 2001.

As you know, the bottom 50% pay nothing .. so the "middle class is paying 6%.

[Note .. actually the bottom 50% are negative because of welfare and food stamps]

And you want more from the rich?

    Income categories:

    Top 1% – $365k

    Top 5% – $174k

    Top 20% – $97k

    Top 40% – $60k

    Top 50% – $48k

    Lowest 20% – $20k

So $48K-$97K middle class pays 6%.

Because we don't believe conservative lies. Two years ago, the FICA tax was TEMPORARILY lowered by 2 present. It was a temporary cut in the existing rate, not a permanent reduction. When it expired, the rate went back to normal

Notice the difference vs. the GOP. The Bush tax cuts were also labeled as temporary. The difference? The Republicans were lying through their teeth. As soon as they got those "temporary" cuts passed, they started whining they didn't wan their taxes "raised." They intended the cuts to be permanent -- they LIED to get them passed. Incidentally, in the private sector yo admire so much, if someone does that, it is called fraud and it is a felony. Too bad that law doesn't apply to the Republican politicians who defrauded this country.

You must be really ignorant not to know that the Obama payroll tax holiday expired.

It is called payroll tax. It is not an income tax rate hike.

I think they're referring to income tax.

There are three kinds of Obama supporters.

    > "Know" the opposite of everything their senses tell them.

    > Don't know anything at all.

    > Liars.
