I have some questions about MARSOC?

I want to join the USMC infantry after high school and if i want to continue on with the military, i want to try to get into MARSOC. I was thinking about the SEALs but the process seams complicated and im confident in myself but i rlly dnt know what buds is like and the dropout rate is 90% but i hear MARSOC us just as good or better so i have some questions about it.

1. What are the requirements?

2. Whats the quickest route into MARSOC? (Avoiding recon/force recon)

3. Do they do similar missions like SEALs?

4. Do they deploy or do they stay at base until they recieve a mission like a direct raid or something? What sets them apart from regular infantry?

5. Is the training as hard as bud/s?

6. Is MARSOC just as good as SEALs? Whats the difference?

7. Finally, if you pass the training, are their different jobs or are they all infantry? Like is there a mechanic or something like that? Or does everyone do the same thing?.... Kill the enemy.

Thanks in advance and i apoligize for how long it is

The base requirements aren't difficult to muster (225 PFT) 275+ being average taken, the correct swim qual and no NJPs in the last 6 months. But what you need to know is you'll have to enlist in any MOS, make corporal (E4) and then lateral move to a 0372 (critical skills operator MOS) for MARSOC. You may spend 2-3 years in the MC before you make E4 which is when you can start your package to go through ASPOC, then Assessment and selection, if you get through those 2, next is 9 months of individual training course (our BUD/s). There is no quick way in and definetly no easy way (of the 30,000 or so qualified people at any time we send 100 to ASPOC, and drop people almost immediatly. you'll be at 4 years minimum as a new CSO, with 5 years minimum contract on top. We do the exact same things as SEALs, difference is we are marines first- making us all the better, so we are select in SOF.

If you go 0372, the only job is infantry, but you'll be very well trained on a scale way past regular infantry (can't talk details past that.)

Make E4, and talk to a recruiter for us, any further questions I'll answer.

(you must maintain a secret clearance while here, so if you are a troublemaker or otherwise ineligiable that's a no go).

No you do no longer ought to conflict by way of Recon, yet whilst your waiting to bypass Recon it is going to look sturdy and make issues extra undemanding on your self. i think of you ought to be a undeniable rank in the previous you may tryout for MARSOC the two that or you ought to serve a undeniable volume of time.
