Do you remember when you felt like you had arrived at adulthood?

I don't think I did until I was a mother. Then all of a sudden, I was. Kind of a shock.

    I agree with you.

Holding a new born baby in my arms and knowing - that sweet child was here - through no fault of her own.

She needed all the love and care I could give.

I knew immediately - what my responsibility was as a mother.

Yup! I had arrived at adulthood - the moment - I heard her first cry.

    Very nice question.

When I first got married, I was barely 21 years old. Later on when I had a baby at the age of 24, a truly felt like an adult.

I agree having children can do it. My son had a lot of medical issues and needed a lot of care. I think that is when I realized it was time to step up and really become an adult.

I think it kind of crept up on me. Living on my own, working and paying y own way, raising children, all contributed.

I've no memory of it. So it probably hasn't happened yet.
