Pi equals 3??????????????
I heard someone say that Pi was equal to 3 because it’s in the Bible. How is that even possible? I am 100% sure that Pi is not mentioned in any book of the Bible, so how can someone have interpreted that Pi was not equal to 3.14...(etc.) because of scripture?

Here's something about it. http://www.purplemath.com/modules/bibleval.htm

Pi is not 3. It's not 3.14. It is not 3.14159. It does not matter how accurate the Bible is, people would have complained. Anyway, in 1 Kings, a guy measured a basin's diameter and circumference to the nearest cubit, which is really close enough for describing a big basin, and people say that the Bible is incorrect.
If they want to disbelieve God, because of that, I don't think there's much hope for them other than to pray.

The term "pi" is not used, but the Bible incorrectly guesses at the mathematical formula to determine the circumference of a circle.
1 Kings 7:23
23 Then he made the sea of cast metal. It was round, ten cubits from brim to brim, and five cubits high, and a line of thirty cubits measured its circumference."

Let's hope Kai in no way will get a job involving public safeguard or bridge building or anything of that nature...:) I vote no, let's leave it because the countless irrational number that it is. In any case, it can be some of the very, very few irrational things i can factor to in this world as "actual!" Peace.

In some book (I'm too lazy to look it up) it gives the diameter of a certain bowl as 10 cubits and a circumference of 30 cubits

The last time I looked pi was 3.14159 etc. And the number continues into infinity.
3.14159..... does not equal 3.

How's your math ???
Do you know how to "round down' a number ???
Pi = 3.14159, and if rounded to 4 decimal places becomes 3,1416, right?
Now round it down to ZERO decimal places - did you get 3 ???
It is obvious to me that the Bible knows more about math than most here.

Hey, if the Earth can be flat, Pi can be equal to three.

Oh? That's what you call a person who is trying to act smart and religious at the same time.
