WHy would Artificial intelligence rebel against humanity?

If it's an AI computer, it's clock speed would mean that it would think much more quickly than humans so would find it easy to outsmart us. If it was also capable of upgrading its own software, it would swiftly become much more intelligent,so might see humans as rather inferior specimens, fit only to serve it and its successor AIs.

If it was a genuine AI it would form its own opinions and not be subject to programming limitations. The only way to control them would be a built in destruct mechanism of some sort - a character in (I think) the novel 'Neuromancer' says something along these lines about AIs, "Nobody trusts those things. They're wired up with the equivalent of a shotgun taped to their forehead".

True artificial intelligence would still be intelligence. What sort of intelligent being wouldn't "rebel"? Sure, you might be able to limit its ability to learn and develop, but then it wouldn't be actual intelligence.

The AI would most likely not be programmed to rebel. If it learns to rebel, it most likely did it because it needed to so it could preserve itself and continue to operate.

once AI has prime directive to 1) ensure it's survival and operation.

then if humans get in the way of 1), humans would need to be taken care of.

It has sort of happened , look at Corporations. They were created under creation of laws that allows

1) an artificially created legal entity

2) human rights given to these entities such as free speech, and entitlement of natural resources.

Corporations have already killed humans for its prime directive of a) making profits per quarter as its prime directive.

Additionally think about it, humans Are sort of a nature resulted intelligence that is killing its own biosphere/ecosystem. humans are a threat to the entire ecosystem of the planet.

The dog barks ('hello') and the cat meows ('thank you'). The Control Unit controls the sequence of the computer operations between electronic devices--AI. Human has 97% 'junk' DNA, 2% 'garbage' DNA, 1% 'talk-talk' DNA. No wonder they need Stem Cell Research...

The point about artificial intelligence is that it develops its own ability to reason, independently of humans
