How to know when you are just one of the boys?

age does matter and personality matters much more in a different way. Personality having something also to do with maturity. People can be like the weather sometimes. And a lot of us wake up in a new world every day. Which is to say there is no guarantee that we will behave the same as we did yesterday or give off the same signals or any signals at all. That's especially true when we're at that delicate age of 16. No longer a child and not yet an adult.

If they talk about other girls when you're around you might be one of the guys. If they talk about girls as though you were not there you might be in the friend-zone. Or if they talk to you as though you were not a girl, you might be in the friend-zone.

Be aware that if you work really hard at making someone forget that you are what you are, maybe they will forget. And if they do you might be defeating your own purpose. And there is the fact that sometimes we give up too much of who we are just to fit in when we think fitting in will bring us closer to our goal. Hope it all works out for you.

Yes you are friendzoned. Ha! You're a girl so friendzone is not a relationship death sentence. You just got to play up the flirt factor. Start acting more like a girlfriend than a friend and give him a little encouragement and see what happens.

There's no such thing as a friendzone, there is not being a good match. Friendzone implies their platonic friendship is undesirable.

That being said, you can't, especially when you're sixteen. Everyone is either afraid to express their feelings at that age, or they're aggressively imposing their misguided notions of relationships on everyone else.
