If I remove the rocker cover, do I need to replace the gasket?

If I take the rocker cover off, do I need to change the gasket, even though it is quite a new one?

You def want to find a rubber gasket, they're resealable, cork/rubber tears too easy, and use some permatex part 2B. I wipe the mating surfaces with rubbing alcohol, it removes all the oil so you get a good seal

any time you remove the rocket it is always a good idea to replace the gasket, once the seal is broken it never reseals the same way. For a few dollars you will have peace of mind that it will not get oil on the engine, it is better to error on the side of caution.

the only real subject a rocker disguise gasket will ever provide you is p*ssing oil everywhere in the engine. it incredibly is a low priced section to swap because it does not in many cases require plenty interior the way of stripping down the engine, in contrast to a head gasket, which could be a £20 section yet a £500 invoice! On a Pug 205 you will do the rocker gasket your self rather certainly.
