1 AnswerAdd-ons5 years agoJeep Folks and Good Mechanics, got a different question...?
On the brake proportional valve, the port where the rear brake line thread in, what size fitting/thread is that? I know it's a 3/16 brake line but the threads could be 3/8-24, or M10, or M12. I need to plug that port til I have time to replace that brake line, as the owner still has to go to work, he has front brakes no back brakes (YET)
5 AnswersJeep6 years agoHey Jeep Folks! Got a question!?
I see the 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee uses what's called a 'Body Control Module' to operate all the lights (turn sig, brake, license ill, etc) But in the 2000 Jeep Cherokee Classic, did they use the same type module? On ebay I can find the 'BCM' but it's listed under GRAND CHEROKEE. I'm doing work on a friend's Jeep, FREE

1 AnswerMaintenance & Repairs6 years agoHow to remove ball lower joints on an '06 Ford Fusion?
I'm on the RF wheel. Bad wheel bearing. Are the lower ball joints threaded in or pressed in, like they 'should' be? Already tried a 'BFH', a pickle fork, both together, no luck. Any ideas?

My cat (11yo male, inside only no claws) saw his reflection in a mirror that he's been around since I got him in 2001 now he growls and hisses at his reflection like it's another cat, he's ready to fight! I turned the mirror around and he stopped, but when I turn the mirror back around he sees himself and starts growling again. Is this a sign of any illness, he's the only cat but I do have a small dog (Boston Terrier), or could his mind just be going?

2000 Dodge Ram 1500 w/ 5.2lt multi port injection
It acts like it runs out of fuel, spits n sputters. The gauge works, I just put 20 drops of gold (93oct) in it. When I press the schradder valve on the fuel rail I get air pressure, like the fuel pump got a big gulp of air. After I get the air out the van runs fine, but a little while later I it runs out and I get more air, then it runs fine. After 30yrs, now I'm baffled!
Fuel pump is working
Got fire
No trouble codes
Just release the air pressure and it runs..........???????????

1 AnswerMaintenance & Repairs9 years agoDo they make ultra thin biscuits?
I've been woodworking for a few years now. I've seen the old standard sizes of biscuits and the relatively new smaller sizes. Both of which I am familiar with. But does any company make biscuits that are thinner than the old standards? The old ones are usually 1/8" - 5/32" thick, but that's a little too thick for the parts I'm joining. I build very intricate clocks and handle alot of pretty thin yet wide boards, some clocks take up to 6 months. I figure if someone understands woodworking, they'll understand what I'm looking for!
1 AnswerDo It Yourself (DIY)9 years agoI've got questions on my refrigerator.?
Just wondering if 'Polar Bear' could confirm my suspicions. I've got a Kenmore fridge mod# 106.8690383, it's not equipped with the defrost heater. The freezer is working fine, but everything in the fridge section freezes, the freezer is on it's coldest setting and the fridge is set almost on its warmest setting, the air ducts between freezer and fridge are clear and clean, the door to adj the fridge temp works very easy. Every spring I unplug the unit and blow all the dust from the coils. The unit runs constantly. I'm suspecting the thermostat isn't registering that the temp is satisfied and trying to keep cooling. Polar Bear, do you think I'm on the right track? I know that two heads ARE better than one!

5 AnswersRock and Pop9 years agoMechanics only, can I 'pick your brains?
I recently changed the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor in a 2000 Dodge Ram Van w/ 5.2ltr (fancied up 318) it has rear A/C and heat, was 'missing'. The new plugs are AC Delco gapped @ .040 (specs say .035 - .042). A few miles later the check engine light came on, the ECM is seeing a high reading from the left bank o2 sensor. Could I still have a bad spark plug causing this problem? If you've had the pleasure of working on one of these, you'll know why I really don't want to play 'Hit-n-Miss'. Checked each gap, and double checked the wires! I've been working on cars for over 30years, I've seen new spark plugs that were bad so it wouldn't surprise me. Or could it be just a bad o2 sensor? They are original.
