Disney World, outside resort shuttle busses?
My wife and I are taking the kids down to Disney World in the fall. We have been there before so we know what we are going into with the exception of one area that just came to mind today.
We will be having a rental van so I know we can drive there and park for the day like we did last time. Not a problem. The "problem" gets to be that we have a large family with 6 kids and there may be a day where my wife and the older kids want to go while I stay at the condo with the younger kids. My wife does not think she would be comfortable driving and we were just wondering if anyone is aware of a shuttle bus service that makes the rounds to resorts and such outside of Disney and will take people to the parks?
We are not 100% settled on where we may stay so if there is such a service we could look at adjusting where we stay but every time I do a search on "shuttle bus, Disney, Orlando" or anything like that, I only get the Disney shuttles that run for Disney resorts. Any private services out there that anyone is aware of?
Much thanks

Many of the hotels close to Disney do provide shuttle service to the parks as one of their amentities. If this is important to you, I would look at it when reserving a hotel. We were considering this - but thought the shuttle schedule was too restrictive so I would make sure you have as much details as possible as and that it fits with what your needs are.
One other thing - have you considered driving them and dropping them off if a shuttle service does not meet your needs?

Some hotels on I-drive have shuttles. I have stayed on I drive twice. the shuttle service is HORRID. They go to several hotels, so the ride is long. They can pack the buses so full that people are standing in the aisle. they park far away from the park gates, they are not allowed to pull up to the gates like Disney buses do. they do not run as often as Disney buses, and they do not stay late. Disney buses keep running until ALL guests are picked up. shuttles do not. Mears Transportation is a private company in Orlando. but this would not be cost effective and you would need to pre arrange a pick up time
I HIGHLY recommend staying at a Disney villa for the perks and convenience

Many hotels in the area do have theme park shuttle services available. It is normally listed on the hotel website what theme parks they have shuttles to. You are "stuck" on their schedule though. I think all the hotels listed as Disney "good neighbors" do have the shuttle service as well as some others.
