White spots on tounge?

I chew alot of gum and notice that when i chew it throughout the whole day i get these little tiny white spots on the sides of my tounge. It looks like my tastebuds are enflamed or something. its uncomfortable but not super painful. i was just wondering if anyone had an idea on why chesing gum could cause my tstebuds to turn white and swell up?

Hmm, if were you smoking or eating something that is irritating your tongue, you would want to chew gum all day. Could be its not be the gum that is making that happen but the stuff that made you want to chew the gum all day that made it happen, mixed with the constant movement of your tongue.
