Atheists, why so angry?
Since you contend God does not exist, why are you so angry at Him, why do you see the need to constantly abuse and insult Him? I have never ridiculed the Flying Spaghetti Monster, in fact until this question I have never even mentioned it, I feel no need to be angry at it nor abuse or insult it, why? because to me it doesn't exist.
Lightning from ... accept my apologies, I did not wish to cause offense, please convey my sentiments.
Everard, sure you can call me kid if you wish.

"Atheists, why so angry?"
I'm not angry.
"Since you contend God does not exist, why are you so angry at Him, why do you see the need to constantly abuse and insult Him?"
I'm not and I don't.
"I have never ridiculed the Flying Spaghetti Monster, in fact until this question I have never even mentioned it, I feel no need to be angry at it nor abuse or insult it, why?"
Because people do not try to stop you living the way you choose without doing harm to others, on the basis of what they claim the FSM requires.
"Pyriform. you're not in denial are you?"
Only of things which are not true. I'm genuinely not angry at God. I do joke about him sometimes.

I don't understand your question. Technically that's a paradox. Because I don't believe in God, there's no way I could ever be angry with him, because to me he isn't real. On the other hand, I am angry at man for creating religion. Not only is it detrimental to the advancement of society, but it's also an extremely ignorant viewpoint. The concept that keeps religion alive, is to blindly believe in something without first examining all of the evidence. Which, for the truth of most organized religion, there is little to none.
Besides this, I have a personal reason why I dislike religion. I was raised in an extremely religious Christian family. As I grew older, I abandoned my religious beliefs, mostly because I started looking at all the evidence. This led to a ton of confusion and guilt for me. It hurt to abandon my religion, and it's actually a scary thing. Imagine if your parents actually believed you were going to hell.

Ok, to answer your last Question first, I Don't think people stop you in the street or come knocking on your Door to talk to you about the Spaghetti Monster ( it happens to us about God ) . .
Now, I don't really mind other people Believing in anything they want ( unless in affects their behaviour in a Radical way ) but like I say .. we do kinda get it shoved down our throats a lot and to be honest with you I just don't feel that a lot of it really adds up and if anything it just kinda amounts to false promises, a false sense of security and re-assurance and in the end it can just be a considerable waste of time and I don't really think people's hopes should be played with either unless you really know what you are talking about, which in the case of you Christians . . I sometimes doubt it a little.
Thank you

Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
It's been happening for many centuries!

I am constantly amazed that you people interpret any dissent as anger.
Seriously... why is that?
Kid... you don't mind if I call you 'kid', do you?
Kid, if you and your people didn't go to such extraordinary lengths to try to convince me and my people that all that imaginary little space chappie stuff wasn't any more than primitive superstition, you and your people would probably never hear from me and my people... just saying ;)
“Theists, especially Christians, try to control and restrict us based on their views.
If all Christians stop crusading against science, education, culture, art, sex and sexuality, religious freedom and such, stop dishonestly misrepresenting your beliefs as facts, and stop telling everybody else they're going to be tortured throughout eternity unless they join you, I assure you that you won't encounter nearly as much hostility.”

To me, it's a "Just in Case" kinda thing.
I have no belief in a God.
But I think life is a big joke so I insult most people with esoteric beliefs about it.

I'm not angry with god. I'm angry with idiots who believe in god and are trying to force their beliefs on other people, and control their freedom.

I have no concern for the imaginary construct you refer to as "god" - and I find it difficult to display actual emotions towards make-believe characters.
Christian Fundamentalists, on the other hand...

I am angry at the retarded fuckery that runs wild in this world, specifically. A lot of it stems from religion.
