Update:

no im not a nut job im a responcible gun owner..me and a U.S. Marine buddy of mine were just discussing which bullet we would rather get hit by in a fire fight...i dont mean anything by this question he thinks his Colt 1911 .45acp is better than my Colt python .357 Magnum

    45... slower, smaller hole

i load 45 bullets really fast. the faster they go, the bigger the hole. (until you make them go so fast they explode, then the target explodes too)

357 is faster than 45, therefor HP bullets should make bigger holes (even though 357 is smaller bullet caliber)

if my logic is wrong i'm sorry. all i know is 357 mag defensive ammo is 0.359" 110 grain bullet going 1400 fps vs 45 acp defensive is 0.452" 230 grain bullet going 835 fps. Higher velocity- HP's expand more aggressively, bigger holes. some stuff like 223 (0.224") expands so violently it can put grape-fruit sized holes in people (aside from the damage caused by hydrostatic shock)

Which is the other part- faster bullets = more hydrostatic shock.

This is a really stupid question. Neither one.

"Which one would you rather get shot with" is not the way to determine which is better. They're both just as capable. Asking a question like this shows an extremely small bank of knowledge about firearms.

    * The 45acp because it causes less traumatic damage than the 357 Magnum.*

My uncle was shot by a .45 and a .38 before, I'd rather get shot by a blow gun

Source(s): Uncles been shot 5 times I'm going by the size of his scars and how painful he said it was saw him get shot before

Well.. if you want to die either one would do the trick. Asking a question like this makes me hope that YOU DON"T have a gun! The question doesn't set well with me..

  • Since I have guns I wouldn't get hit by either of them,I shoot first.

Neither. 9mm was enough for me, thanks.

Perhaps you should consider doing your own research on this one. Try both items on yourself and base your conclusions on that.
