Jobs with a conducting (music) degree?
I plan on going to UAlbany next semester, and I can't decide on a major. My two choices are composition or conducting.
If I were to compose, I would want to compose for movies, but would settle for things such as commercials, indie films, and stuff like that. But I ultimately would just want to write for myself, but I would love to make a living through it.
But, I also think conducting would be an amazing way to make money. It looks incredibly fun. But I don't know what the possible jobs are or how to get them.
Like, obviously I can conduct for orchestras and stuff, but if I can't do that, what are other possible options? Also, on average, what does a conductor make if known?

Do both just to cover your bases.
