I had a painful to the touch bump on my left armpit for four days. It broke open last night before I went to bed. To be honest, It looked like I had just popped a zit. It was oozing puss and blood. Now there is just sensitivity there. Should I see a doctor?

It is basically a blocked sweat gland and the puss is just like that of a zit. Wash it well and try to avoid harsh deodorants and you'll be fine. If the swelling continues or spreads you may need anti-biopics to clear the infection. After a week if it hasn't gotten better see a dr.

If it is red and looks bad the answer is yes. It could have been an infected hair and will heal.
