Replacing Ignition Switch 97 Blazer How?

Removed 3 screws from the bottom cover,unable to release switch;

    This isn't done by just removing screws. Many involve having the key in the run position and using a thin tool to release it.

    The repair manual would tell you exactly how to do it. That is why I own one for every automobile I have, and have had for the last 30 years or so.

    Try to Google it or search on youtube.

    Your present path of repair is going to kill or injure you very badly....the air bag has to be removed, plus you will need a special tool to compress the lock plate to remove snap ring....

    Do as Pilsner Man advised and purchase a repair manual.....

    I think the screws are star-bits, Not screw driver .
