What do you think of this poem?

Why does your soul attempt to escape you through the essence of your eyes?

Your lips curve upwards, but your voice remains the same.

And when you speak of recent joy it's an evident bowl of lies,

With the embracing of yourself saying that love has never came.

Thinking that no one cares, your sighing's a stretch at glances,

Your nervous chuckle closing your sentence is met without a smile.

The hopes to be another man sorrow maintain advances,

And your tears that so rarely fall, pity they do not rile.

So, go now, soul, carry on your quest, and leave the body behind,

For what worth is there in a sunken ship, or a tattered and battered mind?

I shall confess, it is quite solemn. What are your thoughts?
