Well, I know that NRA hero Ted Nugent is all for the pedophilia!! Of course he's also for pants pooping, but there are no laws against that so POOP AWAY Teddy!

So make it legal. If you aren't preventing crime, then there is no point to laws.

But the claim some conservatives make is that criminals ignore laws, so banning guns makes no sense. If you think the law is not preventing child rape, then get rid of the law.

I disagree with that idea. Some people will break laws. But some people won't do it because of fear of punishment- I know I've not done things for that reason...

Conservatives claim that your feel-good legislators have already passed over 20,000 pieces of firearms legislation and yet people still do bad things with them, and that FURTHER gun control will not stop people who are ALREADY breaking existing laws to obtain ILLEGAL guns in the first place.

We didn't say we should abolish all laws regulating something that's bad. There are some pieces of legislation I wouldn't mind seeing repealed, simply because it's a waste and restrictive to the legal people only, but it's unlikely to happen any time soon.

Sure, the GOP is a bunch of old, rich white guys that wants nothing more than money, and they may even say idiotic things every so often ("legitimate rape") but I doubt any republican in his right mind would give a pass to a bunch of pedo's because they seemed unstoppable.

That is just me, though. And honestly, I could be wrong - that whole "children born from rape are gifts from god" comment I heard during the election season made me think the party had finally gone complete bat-sh!t crazy, so they could come out again giving pedo's a "get out of jail free" card.
