    If you talk about 7000 years past it is 7000 B.C

    If you talk about 7000 years future it is 7000 A.D

    B.C. = Before Christ.

    A.D. = Anno Domini, Latin for in the year of our lord.

    So if you're asking about 7,000, well, we're in the year 2013 AD. 7,000 AD is a very long ways away. It must be 7,000 BC.

    BC

    BC = Before Christ

    AD = Anno Domini ("the year of our lord" in Latin)

    these are slowly but surely being replaced by BCE (Before Common Era) and CE (Common Era).

    Before Common Era (BCE) The past tense

    Common Era (CE) Common Era
