When will CBC finally put Bob Cole out to pasture?

He has been this way for years, my favourite line of his is "great save by ... the Ottawa goal keeper" or when he shouts out players for the Leafs that have left the team or retired long time ago.

BQ* I despise Healey more than any other annalist/commentator out there, I sure as hell hope so.

He's probably a lifer and will take the Harry Kalas route and be put out of business until the day he dies...only difference between Harry Kalas and Bob Cole is that baseball (Harry K) is much slower than hockey and easier to call.

Have fun and good luck but he does have some legendary calls.

BQ: I don't watch CBC all the often being that I am in America but I just recently purchased NHL Game Center so I will have to keep my eyes open for those two but I will just take a guess and say yes because it's PJ Stock.

Honestly, I'll take Cole over Jim "I heart Canucks" Hughson.

I've said this before...if I were running CBC I'd try to get Chris Cuthbert back from TSN or try to give Mike Lee higher profile games. Cuthbert is a pro's pro and is that rare talent who can do football and hockey and do both well.

BQ: I'm hoping so. With bazookas. When you make Mike Milbury seem borderline rational you've done something. Again- if I were in charge I'd fire Healy and Stock into the sun, bring back Scott Morrisson from Sportsnet, and have a nice rational Hotstove of Friedman, Weekes, and Morrison (or put Weekes into Healy's old role between the benches if you want to reprise that).

If you were just to listen to Bob Cole call the game instead of watching it also....you'd miss last call at the pub!

I was going to say; well look at Cherry-but he is actually a year younger than Cole.

I would trade Hughson for Cole any day. Hughson is emotionless
