Is it legal to take trash home with you on the plane?
I've been trying to find the answer online, and it seems that not many people have asked this. Barring things like food waste, is it legal to take a bag of trash home with you in your suitcase? I'm doing a project for school on Easter Island, and ways to make travel a bit more eco-friendly. LAN would be the airline, if that helps.

the airline has cleaning crews for that
plus the custom offical will fin that very suspicious and you couldseach very carfeul and suppose some dump
drugs in the trash -guess who be going to jail

Sure, that would be possible. Regulations about importing food/plants would apply, but seeing as you exclude food waste, I don't think there'd be a problem. Fundamentally, garbage is no different from anything else you might bring.
