I know the answer is x=-3/2, 4/3.
I just need the steps to get there.
4x^2-4x-1=0
I am not sure of the answer but
I think its 1- sqrt of 2 over 2, 1- sqrt of 2 over 2
If thats right how do you get that answer?
What are the steps?

6x^2 plus x - 12 = 0
product of -12 and 6x^2 is -72x^2.
Now, we have to break x in such a way that their product becomes -72x^2.
Now,factors of 72 = 1,72,2,36,3,24,4,18,6,12,8,9.
Therefore,we can use 8 and 9.
It becomes,
6x^2 plus 9x - 8x - 12 = 0
or, 3x (2x plus 3) - 4(2x plus 3) = 0
or, (3x - 4)(2x plus 3) = 0
Now,one of them must be equal to 0.
When 3x - 4 = 0,
3x = 4
or, x = 4/3
and when 2x plus 3 = 0
2x = -3
or, x = -3/2

There are two ways to solve these problems; factor by grouping or using the quadratic equation.
