You won't right now. Not without some effort. Having two kids, one of those being very young - he or she will monopolize any free moment you have!

Once he's older it will get better. He can play with his sibling, have quiet time, read a book, watch a tv show or sit in his high chair while he watches you cook. Until that time just do the best you can, take shortcuts when they are available. Such as Stouffer's family-sized meals and other frozen entrees. Salad Kit and a Chicken from the grocery deli. Occasionally even spring for pizza. Or just serve grilled cheese and soup! Don't think you have to always serve super healthy and gourmet! Real life just isn't like that!

*Even if he was formula fed,you still have to feed on demand. When baby wants to eat he eats. When they are very young, the high majority of babies eat very frequently. Both of mine did!

Huh? Nursing a child takes no time at all, formula takes more time with the bottles and cleaning. Cook meals that take 1/2 hour or less, or you can work on little by little all day. As for, gosh, right now you still have a very small baby in your arms - your last worry should be cooking for the family and instead just surviving. Peanut butter and jam sandwiches are fine for them to eat for dinner, don't worry about anyone else, and stop giving him formula.

Really, in a month nursing him will take very little time, you will have more freedom and it will come together. Meanwhile, you can wear him to get things down (in a sling or carrier) or put him in a swing, swings are so freaking awesome and one of the few things that worked for most of my kids. Really, nurse him at most 20 minutes a side, switch often, and wear him while you work.

Source(s): 4 kids, youngest is 1 year, oldest 8, I cook 4-5 nights/week (the rest is leftovers or quick meals). This is just temporary.

you know what? my hubby leaves for work at 6.30 am, and gets home around 7.30pm. And if i don't have time when this baby comes, HE will be cooking our dinner when he gets home. Because it's a partner ship, and it's his family too. He has no objection to contributing.

My daughter doesn't really eat much after 5 anyway, and she still refuses anything that resembles a 'real' dinner, so she's not too difficult.

What you should do is make BIG meals, like spag bol, or lasagne, so that you can portion it out and freeze dinner size bits for nights when you're too tired or time poor. Or simple meals, like a piece of steak and salad and some bits of bread.

you don't have to be a gourmet.

I particularly have 3 childrens below 3, my first 2 have been basically 9 months aside. On stable days i like it, on undesirable days I desire there have been a bigger age hollow. :) the 1st 365 days became relatively the toughest 365 days of my life. As they get slightly older and extra self sustaining that is starting to be extra exciting. All my ladies are great close and characteristic one among those stable bond that I normally do no longer see with bigger age gaps. could i % to propose having childrens close in age? probable no longer, yet I take great element approximately it.

well actually you need to have time yourself. first you should buy something that goes over your shoulder and weight so you can carry your baby then you could cook or when your baby is sleeping in there crib then cook then

prepare what you can after they are in bed. Use the crockpot with a disposable crockpot liner. Use a wrap to wear the baby while cooking.
