Fluent Italian Speakers?

I am helping a friend get naturalized as a Swiss, and I need to write a letter to the local offices about him. Unfortunately it has to be in Italian, and I am not so fluent in it. Can someone fluent please check what I wrote and let me know if it makes sense at all? Corrections are highly appreciated!!!

Egregi Signori,

Update:

In case my Italian is so bad...here is what I am trying to write in English:

[Name of guy] has been both a colleague and a friend of mine for almost 10 years. He is a pleasure to speak with, and has a great and humorous attitude. He is a hard worker, a loving father, and when it comes to his friends and family, a very loyal person.

He mingles very well within the society and knows the surrounding area quite well, that already for a while I had assumed that he was already Ticinese. Having his child attending school, he has many opportunities to meet other families and he interacts well with them.

I don't know how helpful this letter will be, the user above said right things.

But since you ask for a correct translation, here it is:

    Egregi signori,

Source(s): Hope that helped. Native Italian.

This is a pretty big deal, as your friend's Swiss citizenship depends on it. In Switzerland, a candidate for citizenship must speak at least one national language. If he is applying in Ticino, then I assume your friend speaks Italian. Ask him to proof the letter. Otherwise, consult a professional translator. Finally, perhaps your testimonial should be a little deeper and more developed. The officials might dismiss such a short summary as superficial since they are looking for real reasons to think that this guy will make a positive contribution to society.

Haha, luckly i'm curently staying at my Italian grandparents abode for the summer season! listed the following are some charges that they prefer: "Un vero amico è uno che cammina a quando il resto del mondo cammina". ("a actual buddy is individual who walks in at the same time as some thing else of the international walks out.") and "Un abbraccio vale più di mille parole. Un amico vale la pena di più." ("A hug is worth 1000 words. a buddy is worth more suitable.") :)
