Why do christians call the 10 commandments from a recited list?

When moses came back a second time with tablets and broke them. Then he goes a third time and gets a different set of commandments. This one includes not to cook young lamb in the mothers milk.

1st- exodus 20 2-7

2nd- 31

3rd- 34 14-26

    The 10 commandments that people often refer too are never called such nor are they numbered within the bible. There are actually several hundred commandments in the bible, although I doubt that anyone can recite them all.

    The last set was the only set the Bible actually calls "The Ten Commandments."
