What is the longest delay you've seen between asking a question and seeing it deleted for a violation?
I stopped using Yahoo! Answers a long time ago and haven't asked a question is 4 years. Today, I received a noticed that an old question had been deleted and I'm guessing some troll might be going over my old questions because they are bored.

The trolls are most likely top contributors who feel they need to police this place with Draconian strictness! Remember it does not matter if YOU think your question is legal and does not violate the rules, it is what THEY think and that is all they care about!

Not likely trolls and if it was a violation, that is just a good user, not a troll. You just got away with it for four years. Most likely someone did a search on the subject or the question was still in voting and one of the old question voting groups ran across it.

There is not statute of limitations on violations.
I don't think the trolls would bother go back that long or that you were targeted.
I suspect someone has come across it and reported you.
If it had been held up as a tie breaker someone may have been voting and reported it then.
