Why do people like Mrs Brown's boys so much?

Question

I dont know what the fuss is all about this sitcom. Once I saw a bit of it and thought there is too much bad language in this and for a character who is past middle age to swear so badly. No way I watch this now. Maybe its funny but I dont like watching stuff with bad language in it. Do we necessary need bad language. There is still plenty of humour with out this. I laugh at stuff without it too. The same without explicit context. Whats the world coming too. I dont know why I feel bogged off when people who Im with or hear good comments about sitcoms which dont appeal to me. Maybe I think differently from others. And its also the way Im brought up.

It may be funny but do we necessary need bad language to enjoy a sitcom like this? I thought it looked funny too but its the language which puts me off. I would like to see this too if there was little or not bad language but there is too much of it. Sorry.

Too much swearing ruins it. But that's just some peoples' taste... I just think it's too immature (even for me, that's saying something).

I never watched the first series of it as I had seen a few clips and heard the swearing.  I'm not keen on hearing the F...word either.  However, my next-door neighbour kept raving about it and told me to try watching a whole episode.  Well, my hubby and I did watch it and we laughed out loud so much.  It's the only programme on TV that actually makes us laugh out loud.  We've watched all the other episodes now too.

Regarding winning awards - Miranda has won awards too and I've persevered and watched a whole series of her show, thinking it would get better, but I just don't think it's funny at all, so I won't be watching it again.

Wouldn't do if we all laughed at the same things.

I've only caught a minute or so here or there and it just looks lame.
Comedy doesn't need to be dumb but it looks like no one told the writers of this common pile of rubbish.

she/he doesnt always swear,  she usually says bucking.
i find it one of the funniest programmes on tv, and makes me laugh out loud
it isnt for children,  and this series is more near the knuckle than the previous ones, but its hilarious
