What's up with people trying so hard to be brutal or hardcore?
For example they say they're music is so brutal, I mean shouldn't you just like it for what it is. And if anything is hardcore it's Hardcore Punk it's literally what hardcore is, it all started there

I listen to a bunch of really heavy sh*t, but don't ever really call it "brutal"

Before hardcore was a genre of music it was a word that meant intensely loyal
look it up in the dictionary
And some people like music that can be considered brutal, so what? leave them alone

Just like with any click of people, everyone is trying to be popular. They may not admit it, but they are. People like to be liked, regardless of what culture or society they live in. If they weren't trying to be popular, they would say they like it for what it is and not for how "brutal" or "hardcore" it is.
