What is wrong and what is right?

If you are strong enough to believe in yourself

then its you who decides right and wrong

but if you need the approval of society

then its society who decides right and wrong

When people think this way it's because they have wronged somebody and are trying to convince themselves that it doesn't matter, because they feel badly about what they did. They also find something wrong with the person they wronged, like you are doing calling society selfish. I think society is greedy, violent, immoral, but that isn't the issue, it's why you are asking about what is moral and then condemning people. The relativity of morality is an old issue that you can find anywhere without ranting about society or others.

However, you can only commit a crime, ie., what you think is wrong, by agreeing what morality is with someone else and then violating it. If we agree that killing each other is OK, then there would be nothing wrong in killing each other. But real morality is based on survival in some form, because the foremost drive of humans is survival, and whether you absolutely violate it by killing another, or somehow jeopardize another's survival. Morality isn't really relative.

It is wrong to kill anyone. That is murder.

But it is right to kill the enemies when you are in the Army.

When a layman kills an animal, it is wrong, but when the butcher kills an animal, he is right. That is his profession.

I have another quotation, I learned in school.

'Nothing that is wrong can be right because other people do it.'

For God-fearing people, the Religious Heads make the laws of do's and don'ts.

Forget the society. They are part of mobocracy.

According to our culture and society we have what we perceive to be right and wrong. However other cultures have different perceptions of right and wrong. So according to our culture we have things that we do and don't do. And according to other cultures, they have things that they do and don't do. So therefore, how can we really say that other culture's "right and wrong" are wrong because how do we know our society's sense of "right and wrong" are correct?

I grow weary reading the anguish people go through for no good reason. The answers to life's biggest questions can be found in the New Testament. It's there and accessible to us all. It's plain and simple. The answers are there. I have found that people who reject the Bible are the ones who have not read it, much less studied it.
