If your depressed, there's two movies I would recommend.

Firstly, Detachment starring Adrian Brody has him playing a substitute teacher with depression. It's very relevant and has a lot to say about depression.

But the number one movie you should watch is MELANCHOLIA. It is a beautiful masterpiece that perfectly captures the apathy that someone with depression feels on a day to day basis. It's a little strange, but it's defiantly worth a shot if your curious.

Both films are darkly serious and you will feel no pressure to laugh. Hope this helps!

Sid and Nancy (1986), I saw it yesterday and it's pretty depressing, it's about the Sex Pistols bassist and his girlfriend Nancy and their fall into drugs and bad stuff. It's a romance/drama but it's pretty depressing.

American Psycho (2000), it's about this buisness guy who goes insane and starts killing people, it isn't a romance, it has some dark comedy in it, but isn't a comedy. It's a Drama/Thriller.

A Clockwork Orange (1971), it's about this guy who is head of a "gang" and he goes to jail and they do experiments on him so he gets sick when he sees violence. Kind of a SciFi/Drama.

No Country for Old Men (2007), It's about this guy who finds money after a bad drug deal and a killer tries to hunt him down, very excellent.
