They are, by law, protected by law enforcement officers. Are you claiming he's trying to disarm other LEO's?
There's a difference between my personal level of risk and his - there are international terrorists who would quite literally give their lives to kill him. I don't have anyone who has that attitude toward me.
I'm not in favor of gun control, but making idiotic arguments like this makes those of us who oppose gun control seem like "gun nuts." You're not helping.
