Why are a lot of republicans still mad about the election?

So I am mainly democratic (I have voted republican on some occasions but for the presidential elections I've always voted democrat), but like to see when each party has a strong candidate (as it did this year in my opinion). As well i like to see when someone from the other party wins the people of the losing part get over and try to help make the country better. But that does not seem to be happening. It seems that the republicans are still trying to come up with ways that Obama is horrible and are not trying to actual help the country. Even the ones in congress, from what I've heard/seen/read I can't actually go into congress, seem to be deliberately trying to not cooperate with Obama. I would just like to know why is that? Why are they not "getting over it" and trying to help make this country better?

As a side note Obama is trying to help this country get better, so don't even try with that "why should they when Obama isn't trying too" or "why should they help someone whose trying to destroy this country" bullshit

Update:

And as for the 1st two answers (or more the 1st one). No I am not expecting you to worship the ground he walks on (I hope no one actually does that) and I'm not asking YOU to do anything I was just wondering what good the ones in congress and the senate think their doing by not negotiating with him?

I better answer this question Dylan before I pop out to work :( I know that Obama is trying to help this country get better. But you must understand that his view of what is better is not the same the view of what we think is better. I hope this answers your question.

I'd be interested in reading your sources for your opinions. Honestly, he's just not attacking the right issues. The whole gun controversy seems like a waste of time, being that guns as a whole are one of the lowest causes of death in the United States. What exactly has Obama tried to push that would help the country?

I guess my opinion is that he just hasn't proven to me he's capable of doing what he says, or even fixing the problem. Four years and nothing to show for it.

I know that Obama is trying to help this country get better. But you must understand that his view of what is better is not the same the view of what we think is better. Obama has a totally different world view than we have. What is better for the US is his view is worse for the US in our view. Capisce?

you're at a loss for words. What are those "Republicans" you talk of? "superb courtroom"? "Democrat"? i do no longer understand those labels. What I see is a team of the main important firms interior the international appearing as puppeteer to the Representatives of the U. S. to her human beings. something previous that's no longer happening and specific won't take place. yet uhh ... Hurray for the form i assume--notwithstanding the f*ck which ability.

You're a dumbass. You ******* moronic liberals never cease to amaze me with your stupidity. Obama is trying to help the country? Of course he is you douchebag but he isn't doing it right. He's added more debt in 4 years than any other president has in two of their terms. Unemployment didn't go anywhere and welfare, food stamps and all other types of programs have increased in number meaning people have gotten poorer. About 4,000 dollars a year poorer. Obama is the only president in our history to have a credit score reduced. Obama is the second president in history to have a bigger debt than GDP. Obama has had 4 straight 1 trillion dollar deficits. And that's after he said Bush was unAmerican for having HALF trillion dollar deficits. Obama is a moron and ANYONE who voted for him is a moron as well. And the republicans don't help him because everything he's done so far has been a total failure and disaster. They also don't help him because he's trying stuff they are against and against the wishes of the people that voted them in. Quit being a moron and asking moronic questions.

It's a rum question Dylan, and my answer is: they are not mad about the election. they are mad that the doofus who was elected is doing far more harm than good to the country. Gotta catch the bus!

I am not angry, I am disappointed. There are a lot of Democrats who are still mad about an election that took place 13 years ago.

Hmm, one has to wonder if you asked this of Democrats when Bush won.

    Somehow I doubt it.

Personally, I'm not mad about it. It is what it is, and honestly while I did not vote for Obama, I also did not vote for Romney...I wrote in Huntsman.

What did you expect us to do? sacrifice our beliefs and our points of view the moment Obama won?

We think his methods and views on how to help this nation is wrong, what part of that don't you get? Winning an election doesn't mean we become a Dictatorship for the next 4 years you know.

Because we're disappointed in you Dylan. We thought you were smarter than this. No Obama does not want what's best for this country. His goal is to knock US down a few pegs. Yes I'm serious.

Forget what you think you know about Obama. Here's someone who knows the real deal.
